Welcome 2008 South Carolina EdTech attendees. With fuel costs going up and budgets shrinking due to economic conditions there needs to be a cost effective means of conducting staff development. Also, teachers are faced with the problem of educating students who miss class due to extended illnesses or parents taking their children out of school for a variety of reasons. Finally, there are schools who would like to have afterschool tutoring programs but cannot due to extra student transportation costs. This presentation looks at one cost-effective means of providing small-scale distance learning programs for schools.
